ADHD, also known as Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Is one of the most common yet misdiagnosed disorders around the world. However, many celebrities have been open about their journey with the disorder and their diagnosis and how they deal with everyday life. From Tom Holland to HHH, here is a list of some of your beloved celebrities who have ADHD and are quite vocal about their diagnosis.

    Tom Holland

The beloved neighborhood Spider-Man actor has officially been diagnosed with ADHD and has been vocal about his journey. While talking to IGN last year the actor opened up about his journey with ADSD and Dyslexia. He shared, “I have ADHD and I’m dyslexic, and I find sometimes when someone gives me a blank canvas that it can be slightly intimidating. Sometimes you are met with those challenges when developing a character.” As to how he deals with it the actor added that one should usually “interact with something that forces you to be creative and forces you to think outside the box and make changes.”

The ‘Mean Girl’ star has also been open about her ADHD diagnosis. While talking to Official Charts, the actress revealed that she used to think she was being dramatic as a child. However, as she grew up she understood her symptoms better. She added, “When I’m writing a song, 10 songs are coming out of that concept. My brain is in 10 different places. I actually really enjoy it. It’s exhausting, don’t get me wrong, but it’s really fun. I think it really helps my comedy and my ability to deal with things. … I’m always thinking of what’s next, which gives me better lyric ideas and more opportunity. More avenues to go down.”

    Channing Tatum

Channing Tatum Revealed in 2014 that he also has ADHD and dyslexia and how it has changed his perspectives on a lot of things. While talking to T, The New York Times Style Magazine the same year, he shared that “I have never considered myself a very smart person, for a lot of reasons. Not having early success on that one path messes with you. I’ve learned more from people than I have from school or from books.” In 2013, while talking to Vanity Fair, he further added that, “I truly believe some people need medication. I did better at school when I was on it, but it made me a zombie. For a time, it would work well. Then it worked less and my pain was more. I would go through wild bouts of depression.”

    Mark Ruffalo

The ‘Hulk’ actor once shared with Child Mind Institute in an old interview that he had to grow up with undiagnosed ADHD, dyslexia, and depression. He shared at the time that, “One of the things that was always very difficult for me was grade school: Feeling like I was strange and unique and freakish. I didn’t feel like I fit in anywhere. There’s help and that there are ways to deal with it and to manage it and to overcome it.”

    Barry Keoghan

During one of his interviews with Esquire, the beloved actor opened up about how he only got diagnosed with ADHD in 2020, when he was 28 years old. The ‘Saltburn’ actor opened up about his diagnosis and finally having medications for the disorder. He added, “My mind used to be like a traffic jam, crazy, and then with the medication it’s like: One car goes, then another car goes.” In 2022, he appeared on the ‘Mammia & Me’ and opened up about his diagnosis more, sharing that, “I figured out I had ADHD two years ago. I knew though, growing up with the distraction side of things and zoning in.”
