Hisashi Ishii(The Unaware Atelier Meister, I’m Quitting Heroing) is directing the anime series, withHideki Furukawa(WATAMOTE) as character designer.EMT Squaredis handling the animation production.
The anime adapts the manga adaptation of the fantasy light novel series, which was drawn byKentaro. It began serialization on Square Enix’s Manga UP! Global service on September 26, 2019, where it is also being published digitally in English. Nine tankobon volumes have been released, as of June 2025, and the series is also available to read in English on Comikey. The light novel series (which has a slightly different title) is written byArata Shiraishiand illustrated byUodenim. It was published by Kadokawa Shoten from October 1, 2019 to March 1, 2022. Eight total volumes were released in Japan.
