Japanese Forza Horizon 6 players are unhappy with their custom anime cars getting banned.
Forza Horizon 6 gives players the freedom to customise their cars however they want, as long as it doesn’t violate Playground Games’ Forza Code of Conduct. “This covers offenses that Turn 10 has ZERO tolerance for, including hate speech, credible violent threats, child sexual exploitive abusive imagery, terrorism or violent extremism content, sexual/nude imagery, and more,” the studio wrote in its Code of Conduct policy.
One of the more popular customisations that players opt for is itasha, which basically means a car decorated with characters from anime, manga, or video games. However, some players are speculating that there is a mass reporting campaign going on, resulting in their cars being banned.
One frustrated player took to X, writing, “The worst reporting and BAN system I’ve ever seen.” They added, “Permanent device BAN without any warning. Just for putting anime characters on your car. Creators, people who were just riding along, even those who hadn’t even published anything—all of them are getting hit.”
Another player took to Reddit, saying that users are being given “lifetime bans for players’ vinyls, designs and photos that don’t violate any terms, contain no nudity, and no profanity whatsoever.”
As of now, Playground Games has not issued a statement on the said matter.
Forza Horizon 6 dropped on May 19, 2026, and got a score of 9 in our review, where we said that the title is a “standout entry in the series.” The title also got a new drifting mode recently called Drift Attack, which is accessible from the open world.
Forza Horizon 6 is currently available for ₹5,499 on Steam and for ₹4,399 on the Xbox Store. The title will also make its way onto PlayStation 5 later this year, but an exact date of its release isn’t out yet.
