Fortniteis going all-out Multiverse of Madness in Chapter 7 Season 4, pulling in collabs from every corner of the gaming universe that would leave the Avengers: Doomsday cast looking small by comparison.

Following a skin-baring summer collection that plunged players into a gooner era, with many thanks to Harley Quinn’s bikini and a thirst-trap Catwoman NPC, Fortniteis finally ditching the swimwear outfits for a new gaming legends era.

Titled Override, the crazy collection of characters arriving includes Sonic the Hedgehog, Crash Bandicoot, Tetris (yep, Tetris…), The Joker, Spyro the Dragon, Pac-Man, and countless more familiar animated faces that we’ve loved in other franchises.

But before the celebration of gaming’s best figures arrives in Fortnite, Disney is still pressing home the Star Wars crossovers with a new ‘free’ Forsworn Trooper skin.

Just, it’s not really free at all, and is actually unlocked through one of the most difficult entry barriers of all time.

How to unlock the Fortnite Forsworn Trooper skin

With a long-standing relationship and lucrative billion-dollar deal between Disney and Epic Games, Fortniteand Star Wars continue to work in tandem to bring fan-made Clone Wars creative maps alongside a map dedicated to the Galaxy Far, Far Away.

Now, Epic is offering a free skin known as the Forsworn Trooper, taking inspiration from outfits we often see in the exploration of the Outer Rim – it is described in-game as ‘salvaged Imperial Remnant stormtrooper armour claimed by the Veta Syndicate’.

However, unlike many other giveaways, the skin can’t be redeemed through in-game challenges or battle pass tiers; it involves getting out of the gaming chairs and heading on an adventure of your own.

The FortniteForsworn Trooper skin is exclusive to anyone who rides the Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run at Disneyland in Anaheim or Walt Disney World’s Hollywood Studios in Orlando.

The virtual reality flight simulator takes place in the cockpit of the famed Millennium Falcon spaceship and is currently embarking on new ‘quests across Ord Ryla’, which end with a code for the Forsworn Trooper skin being awarded.

Since its debut, Star Wars has redefined storytelling innovation. The seamless link between Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run and Smugglers Gambit continues that legacy—offering a groundbreaking example of how stories can flow across screens, theme park rides, and games,” said James Waugh, Lucasfilm Senior Vice President of Creative Strategy.

“It’s the kind of pioneering, cross-platform experience only Disney can deliver, and it fits perfectly in a galaxy far, far away.”

Riders will need to link their MyDisney and Epic Games accounts to redeem.

But unless you’re planning a trip to Anaheim or Florida soon, this ‘free’ skin is out of your reach, even if the Force is with you.
