Players are sharing ways to find Fortnite’s rare Pirate Shop Token, while others are offering paid help and listing accounts with access for thousands of dollars.
Fortnite’s One Piece crossover event has players searching for a Pirate Shop Token that lets its holder claim almost everything in the item shop for free for two weeks. Real-money offers, gifting and Battle Pass rewards are excluded, and claimed items remain permanently on the player’s account.
There is no official drop rate, but players estimate the token appears in one out of every 700,000 chests. Some are using grenades and cannonballs to destroy chests inside locked vaults, allowing them to open many at once without finding a key.
Players are also sharing exploits, selling tools to farm the token automatically and offering paid help. One player posted an overlay showing chest locations in a match and offered to help others find the token for a fee.
Several eBay accounts are listed for thousands of dollars with Pirate Shop access. The listings had no bids: one asked for $9,000, while another asked for $10,000 or the nearest offer. The season ends on December 4.
Epic’s terms of service prohibit buying or selling Fortnite accounts, as well as cheating or exploiting. Anyone trying to profit from an account could be banned and lose access. That could also happen after a purchase, or the previous owner could contact support and claim the account was stolen.
“Buying an account or using fake tools is a scam,” Epic said in a statement. “This is just like any of the chests in Battle Royale, so every player has an equal opportunity to find Pirate Shop Access.”
