The Fortnite Pirate Shop is a new Fortnite feature that lets you claim almost everything in the Item Shop for free for 14 days. The reward is tied to Treasure Hunters, the One Piece mini-season that launched on <a href="https://comicvibe.com/5-video-games-releasing-in-november-2026-worth-playing/” title=”5 video games releasing in November 2026 worth playing”>November 1 with the v43.00 update. However, getting it will come down to pure luck, as the odds are still unknown.
Hypex, the most popular Fortnite leaker, revealed that opening chests in Battle Royale can roll a Treasure Hunt prize, and the Pirate Shop is in that prize pool every week. Shiina, another well-known leaker, shared the same details shortly after.
One lucky player who goes by name snowslept found the free shop token on the first day of the season, showing what the free Fortnite shop looks like.
The Fortnite Pirate Shop makes V-Bucks items free for 14 days
Winning the Pirate Shop gives you two activations, one for 2026 and one for 2027. Once activated, everything sold for V-Bucks in the Item Shop is free to claim for 14 days, and the timer only starts when you press activate. The 2026 activation can be used from November 1 to December 15, while the 2027 one works from January 1 to December 15, 2027.
Unfortunately, the Pirate Shop doesn’t cover everything. Real-money offers, gifting, and the Battle Pass, including pass levels and rewards, are all excluded, and the reward isn’t transferable. Sidekicks are limited too, as you can only claim one free Sidekick that you don’t already own, which makes sense considering how expensive they have been since their debut.

Even with these limits, this is a massive reward. Back in March, Epic cut the cheapest pack from 1,000 to 800 V-Bucks without lowering its price, which is why V-Bucks are more expensive than ever. Considering that most collab skins cost well over 1,000 V-Bucks, two weeks of free claims could easily be worth hundreds of dollars to a dedicated collector.
The timing of your activation will matter as well. Zoro, Sanji, and the Chopper Sidekick hit the Item Shop on November 7, followed by Buggy on November 13. The good news is that the Pirate Shop appears in every weekly prize pool, so you’ll have several chances to win it. Still, Hypex doesn’t know whether there is a limit, and we expect only a small number of players to get lucky. We will likely learn more once Epic officially reveals the Treasure Hunt odds.
While waiting for the official announcement, make sure to claim all the free Fortnite skins that are still available. You can also check how much your Fortnite account is worth before a lucky chest potentially fills your Locker with new cosmetics.
