summary
Epic Games is overhauling Fortnite Crew in December 2026, ending the OG Pass and monthly Crew Pack outfits while increasing monthly V-Bucks rewards to up to 1,600. Subscribers will also receive a 20% XP boost, with party members earning 10%. Players looking to supplement their in-game currency can also considerbuy FN Top Up options for additional V-Bucks. The Battle Pass, LEGO Pass, Music Pass, and Rocket League Premium Pass will remain available, while Fortnite OG is expected to return in a new form in late 2027.
Fortnite OG Pass Ends on December 4, 2026
One of the biggest changes is the discontinuation of the Fortnite OG Pass. Epic Games has confirmed that the current OG experience will end on December 4, 2026, with the OG Pass officially ending on December 5.
This means players should not expect another OG Pass based on Chapter 2 Season 1 or other classic Fortnite seasons when the current system ends. The OG Pass tab will disappear from the interface, leaving the standard Battle Pass, LEGO Pass, and Music Pass among the remaining progression options.
However, Fortnite OG is not disappearing permanently. Epic Games has confirmed that the next era of Fortnite OG is planned for late 2027. Although specific details have not been announced, the returning experience could introduce a different progression system.
One possibility is a map rotation system similar to Fortnite Reload. Instead of following a traditional seasonal Battle Pass structure, players could experience different classic maps through regular rotations. For example, the Chapter 1 Season X map could rotate into the Chapter 1 Season 5 map during gameplay.
This remains speculation, but the confirmed return in 2027 suggests Epic is exploring a new direction for the classic Fortnite experience.
Monthly Fortnite Crew Outfits Will End in 2027
Another significant change affects the monthly Fortnite Crew Pack rewards.
Epic Games has confirmed that Crew Pack outfits will be discontinued after January 1, 2027. This means subscribers will no longer receive new monthly cosmetic sets through their Crew membership.
The discontinued benefits include:
· Monthly exclusive character outfits.
· Matching pickaxes.
· Back blings.
· Additional cosmetic rewards included in Crew Packs.
December 2026 will be the final month to receive a new Fortnite Crew outfit.
However, Epic Games is introducing one final benefit for existing cosmetic collections. In December, players who own the base version of a Crew outfit will automatically unlock any remaining associated styles, even if they are no longer subscribed.
This applies to existing cosmetic progression collections, including Cosmic Legacy, Prisma’s Legacy, and other Crew-exclusive style sets.
As a result, players will have an opportunity to complete eligible cosmetic collections without maintaining an active subscription.
Fortnite Crew V-Bucks Rewards Increase
While several cosmetic benefits are disappearing, Epic Games is increasing the monthly V-Bucks rewards based on subscription history.
The monthly subscription price will remain $11.99 USD, but players will receive more V-Bucks depending on how long they have maintained their membership.
The updated reward structure is as follows:
Previously, Fortnite Crew subscribers received 800 V-Bucks monthly. The new system increases that amount to as much as 1,600 V-Bucks for long-term members.
Importantly, membership tiers are determined by consecutive subscription months within the previous 12 months. Players who cancel and later resubscribe can still benefit from their most recent qualifying subscription history.
Subscriptions obtained through Xbox Game Pass Ultimate will also remain eligible for the updated benefits.
New Fortnite Crew XP Boosts Arrive December 5
Epic Games is also introducing XP bonuses for Fortnite Crew subscribers, providing another incentive to maintain an active membership.
Starting December 5, 2026, subscribers will receive a permanent 20% XP boost across supported Fortnite experiences.
This bonus applies to multiple game modes, including:
· Battle Royale.
· LEGO Fortnite.
· Fortnite Reload.
· Save the World.
· Other supported Fortnite experiences.
There is also a benefit for teammates who do not subscribe to Fortnite Crew. Players in a party with an active Crew subscriber will receive a 10% XP boost.
However, these bonuses do not stack. Even if every player in a squad has Fortnite Crew, the maximum subscriber XP bonus remains 20%. Non-subscribers can receive a maximum 10% boost through the party benefit.
Battle Pass, LEGO Pass, and Music Pass Remain Available
Despite the removal of the OG Pass and monthly Crew outfits, several existing progression systems will continue operating normally.
The standard Battle Pass, LEGO Pass, Music Pass, and Rocket League Premium Pass will remain part of the broader subscription benefits.
Epic Games has also clarified that the upcoming LEGO and Music Passes will initially be smaller than usual. The mini passes arriving on November 12 and December 5 will have reduced content compared with regular releases.
However, future LEGO and Music Passes will return to their normal sizes and release more frequently after these temporary changes.
What the Fortnite Crew Changes Mean for Players
The December 2026 Fortnite Crew overhaul represents a major shift in Epic Games’ subscription strategy. Players will lose the OG Pass and monthly exclusive Crew outfits, but long-term subscribers will receive more V-Bucks and additional XP bonuses.
The most important dates are December 4 for the end of the current OG experience, December 5 for the new subscription benefits, and January 1, 2027, for the discontinuation of monthly Crew Packs.
For players who regularly purchase Fortnite Crew, the increased V-Bucks rewards could make the subscription more attractive. However, those who primarily value exclusive outfits and cosmetic collections may find these changes disappointing. Players who need additional V-Bucks for future cosmetic purchases can also consider cheap FN Top Up options to make the most of Fortnite’s upcoming content.
Epic Games has indicated that more Crew benefits could arrive in December, so additional details may emerge as the new subscription system approaches.
