Leading the charge for comic book fans in patch v41.20 is a massive DC Comics crossover event dubbed DC Hot Bat Summer. The update also introduces Ace the Bat-Hound as an in-game sidekick, the legendary Batmobile as a drivable vehicle body, a dedicated Batman Sprite, and returning mobility items like the Batman Grapnel Gun.
Directly rivaling DC’s presence is Marvel’s web-slinger, arriving to celebrate the theatrical release ofSpider-Man: Brand New Day on July 31, 2026. This crossover delivers a brand-new outfit and a special Spider-Man Sprite expected to introduce a web-swinging Sprite Net mechanic to the battlefield.
Classic slapstick animation and modern music pop culture are also getting major nods in the upcoming rotation. The iconic cat-and-mouse duo Tom and Jerry are heading to the island in the near future, following the successful blueprint set by Looney Tunes earlier in Chapter 7 Season 2.
