Fortnite developer Epic Games has shed light on the upcoming update 41.30, which brings back The Simpsons and Spider-Man. Coinciding with the release of Spider-Man Brand New Day, the imminent Fortnite update adds a new skin, as well as unlimited web shooters and more. Fortnite Reload, meanwhile, adds The Simpsons map

The new update has a July 30 release date on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, PC and mobile. The content will be available to download when servers go offline at 9am BST UK time on July 30. The servers will be back online a few hours later, alongside The Simpsons, Spider-Man and more.

The news was announced by Epic Games on X, alongside a preview about what to expect.

“Swing into action with Spider-Man’s Web Shooters in non-competitive play, track down new Sprites and variants, unlock new Sprite Mastery rewards and more!” reads an Epic Games tweet.

“Downtime for v41.30 begins at 4 AM ET (8 AM UTC) with matchmaking ending shortly beforehand.”

According to the Fortnite server status page, the downtime will last for 90 minutes, which means the game will be back online at 10.30am BST in the UK.

Outside of the UK, the game will be back online at 2.30am PT / 5.30am ET in the US, or 11.30am CET in Europe.

Needless to say, you’ll need to download and install the update in order to sample the new content.

And there’s plenty of content coming as part of update 41.30, including the Simpsons content you can see below.

As you can see from the image, the Springfield map makes a return alongside various quality of life upgrades.

This includes re-looting chests, a new Tactical Assault Rifle and a John Wick Sprite.

Simpsons loot includes the Super Squishee, Cobalt Slingshot, Mr. Blasty, Deodorant Applicator, Five-Gun, Blinky Fish, Krusty Burger and Cartoon Chainsaw.

Multiple Spider-Man skins will be available after the launch of the update, while unlimited Web Shooters, increased Spider-Man Chests and more cube Sprites will be part of the Spider-Man Power Hour on July 31.

As a reminder, this week’s update also coincides with the launch of Fortnite Festival Season 15, which adds Lil Tecca to the game.
