Gear up for an ink-flinging treasure hunt in Splatoon Raiders, out now on Nintendo Switch 2.

There’s plenty of treasure to be had out on them there Spirhalite Islands. It’s just a shame there are so many Salmonids standing in the way! Worry not though, there are a few things you can do to improve your chances of turning them from fishy foes to fish paste.

    1. Scrap your extra weapons!

Once the Weapon Stash is fully up and running on the Hideout Ship, you should swing by and pay Frye a visit. You’ll no doubt acquire a boatload of weapons as you go on more and more raids, but Frye can help you turn any unwanted parts of that arsenal into sweet, sweet Spirhalite.

The best part? You can then use that Spirhalite to boost the firepower your faves. Booyah! Those Salmonids won’t know what hit ‘em.

    2. Develop gadget parts

You’ll come across all sorts of gadget parts as you explore the Spirhalite Islands, but there’s no need to leave everything to chance! Once you’ve sufficiently upgraded the Hideout Ship, you’ll be able to develop your own parts from scratch. Head over to the Gadget Workshop and Shiver can help you craft parts using the materials you’ve gathered from defeated Salmonids.

    3. Synergise your loadouts!

Experimenting with weapon and gadget combos can really help you fine-tune your Salmonid splatting strategy. For example, if you like to pick off enemies from afar with a Charger, having a Shot Pot with knockback gas and a Torqscrew can help keep the approaching hordes at a safe distance while you charge your shots.

Alternatively, a Blast Boot or Dash Bomb can help keep you out of trouble without worrying about inking an escape route when you’re using a Blaster. Try out different combos to see what works best for you!

    4. Practise on the test range

Speaking of which, as tempting as it can be to use all your hard-earned materials on weapon and gadget upgrades, it’s worth using some to furnish the test range. Filling this area with targets, rails, balloons and so on, can help you safely experiment with new setups to get a feel for their range, damage output and manoeuvrability. That practice will pay off handsomely when you’re out in the field.

    5. Revisit stages to grab more treasure

Ultimately, Splatoon Raiders is all about the loot – and if you want to head deeper into the Spirhalite Islands, you’ll need to have enough firepower to overcome those ferocious Salmonids. Don’t be afraid to revisit some stages you’ve already cleared to bolster your re you need to improve your weapons and gadgets, allowing you to progress ever further and uncover the mysteries that await

    Happy raiding!

Splatoon Raiders is available now, only on Nintendo Switch 2.
