During Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave Direct presentation, Nintendo shared news on the latest entry in the Fire Emblem series, which launches exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2 on 17 September.
The Dagdan Empire: a land at the peak of prosperity under the rule of the gods. In the Empire’s capital city of Dagsion, worthy fighters from all over the land arrive to compete in the Heroic Games, with the winner granted one wish. Among the combatants are four Heroes tied to the fate of the world.
Discover an intertwining story of strength and steel, strategic battles and encroaching war – with you at its centre.
Gods and Heroes
Five years after the Heroic Games, the Dagdan Empire faces its end at the hands of the revived demon god, Balor. Four Heroes who played a significant role in the Heroic Games have vanished. To confront the situation, the progenitor god Sothis charges one soul with saving the world from its end. That soul is you.
Enter a world set ablaze with turmoil. Will you face the demon god Balor on your own … or use the goddess Fortuna’s time-travelling powers to change the fates of the four Heroes? Assemble your forces and light a path toward Dagda’s salvation.
Journey back to the time of the Heroic Games and take up arms as one of the four Heroes: Cai, Dietrich, Theodora and Leda. Who you choose will determine how the narrative unfolds.
From each Hero’s story, you can travel through time again to change to a different path. Progress is saved for each of the Heroes, so playing each story in parallel is also an option.
The Heroic Games
The Heroic Games are a series of matches held in tribute to Dagda, the Empire’s first and founding king. Solel, the current ruler of the Dagdan Empire, will grant one wish to the ultimate winner. Achieving victory is no easy task, so preparation is key.
Explore Dagsion between matches to visit establishments for equipment, boons and more. As your journey continues, you’ll gain access to even more facilities. You can also venture beyond Dagsion’s walls to strengthen your team in battle. This time is yours, so spend it wisely.
Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave Dagdan Collection
Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave launches exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2 on 17 September.
The Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave Dagdan Collection, featuring a steel case, character art cards, a map of Dagda and an artbook, will be available the same day.
A service that lets you listen to Nintendo game music anytime, anywhere – has been updated with certain tracks from this game, including the main theme.

Plus, check out the Nintendo Today! smart device app** for a new Fire Emblem theme. The app also features new information about Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave in the lead up to launch.
