The SILVER LINK-produced Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya anime series will come to an end next year with Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya Finale, a new TV anime that continues the story after the 2021 movieFate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya Licht Nameless Girl.
Reprising their roles from Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya Licht Nameless Girlare director Shin Onuma, scriptwriters Kenji Inoue andHazuki Minase, and character designer Kazuya Hirata, while its assistant director Ken Takahashi is credited as series director for the upcoming TV anime. All five had already been involved with the series prior to the movie.
The returning cast includes Mai Kadowaki as Illya,Kaori Nazuka as Miyu, and Chiwa Saito as Chloe.
Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illyais based on the manga by Hiroshi Hiroyama, with the series offering an alternate universe magical girl-themed spin-off of TYPE-MOON‘s Fate/Stay Night visual novel that involves talking magic wands and ability-bestowing Class Cards. The original TV anime debuted in 2013 and was followed by three more seasons, the 2017 Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya Movie: Oath Under Snow movie, an OVA, and Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya Licht Nameless Girl. In 2021, it was announced that the anime series would receive a new entry.
The manga is serialized in KADOKAWA’s Monthly Comp-Ace. Its third part, 3rei, has 14 volumes as of 2024.
