#5: X-Men #38
‘X-Men’ #38 is a near-perfect Magneto story
X-Men #38 serves as a deep character piece for Magneto, reaffirming the Master of Magnetism’s place with the X-Men and in the world. It also fleshes out DNXin the way a good tie-in should, and I hope Marvel editorial is taking notes.

#4: Operation: Iron Coffin #3
‘Operation: Iron Coffin’ #3 races to a bloody awesome finish
Operation: Iron Coffin #3 delivers a finale that’s brutal, blood-soaked, and bombastic from beginning to end. It also cements Kenny Porter and Tyrell Cannon as a creative team to be reckoned with, no matter the project.

#2: Alien vs. X-Men #1
‘Alien vs. X-Men’ #1 review: in space, no one can hear you SNIKT!
Alien vs. X-Men #1 is far and away one of the best debut issues of the Marvel/Fox mash up stories, and if Gillen and Borges can keep up with the surprises and thrills for three more issues, it might stand up as the best of them. #1: Gastronomique #2
‘Gastronomique’ #2 is visually splendid
There is nothing else to say about Gastronomique #2 other than that it is marvelous. The plot could be argued to be thin, but that would be missing the point. This is a book that delivers beauty and disgust in its visuals, providing a sensational reading experience. This is an artistic feast. I look forward to going back for seconds.
