The four part spin-off series of the award winning comedy Funboys, called Fair Game, has launched on BBC iPlayer, with the first episode available to watch now on the BBC’s official YouTube channel
Following on from the release of the critically acclaimed second series of Funboys, Jordan (Rian Lennon), Callum (Ryan Dylan), Lorcan (Lee Ross James), and Gemma (Ele Mckenzie) return in the brand new digital spin-off series
The series is hosted by three of the biggest, coolest gamers in Ballymacnoose, and Gemma. Sponsored by Jordan’s daddies, who bought him the microphones, Jordan and Callum host with our lovely permanent on-site guest Lorcan and resident Gamer Girl Gemma (GG, GGG). Watch these Funboys eat, sleep and, most importantly, PLAY videogames
With celebrity guest Roger Craig Smith (Sonic the Hedgehog, Assassin’s Creed, Resident Evil), expect heated debates, thoughtful insights and expert opinions on things like ‘is it healthy for people to play life simulators, especially men in their late 20’s who haven’t fully matured in adult life?’ and ‘does Herdy Gerdy have better storytelling than the Last of Us Part 2?”
Jon Petrie, BBC Director of Comedy, says: “When Ballymacnoose’s (self-proclaimed) biggest and coolest gamers asked for a videogame review show, who were we to stand in their way? Fair Game takes everything people love about the Funboys series and channels it into a digital-first format that feels perfectly suited to YouTube, with Jordan, Callum, Lorcan and Gemma sharing their thoughts on gaming with confidence, conviction, and only occasional accuracy.”
Executive Producer, Simon Mayhew-Archer of Mayhay Studios says: “We’ve been so delighted with the response to Funboys and how people have taken these worms to their hearts. Fair Game is a chance to get more A-grade Funboy action as they do what they do best: video games and emotional dysregulation.”
