Eugene Public Library hosts Lil Comic-Con July 31 and Teen/Tween Comic-Con Aug. 7

EUGENE, Ore. —Kids and teens are invited to dive into free fandom fun at Eugene Public Library. As part of the Summer Reading program, the Downtown Library will host Lil Comic-Con for ages 5-9 from 2-4 p.m. July 31 and Teen and Tween Comic-Con for ages 9-19 from 2-5 p.m. Aug. 7.
Lil Comic-Con will offer a wide variety of hands-on activity stations from 2-4 p.m., a read-aloud at 2:30 p.m. and a costume parade at 3:30 p.m.
Teen and Tween Comic-Con will feature creative and interactive activities and games including a cosplay competition.
Summer Reading continues with a full calendar of free events for all ages through the end of August at all library locations: the Downtown Library, Bethel Branch and Sheldon Branch. Additionally, youth can visit anytime to choose a free, brand-new gift book to keep from a selection of thousands of titles.
Library cards are not required to participate in Summer Reading. For full library services, including borrowing items and using online rerds are free for everyone who lives within the City of Eugene limits, for all Eugene School District 4J and Bethel School District students regardless of address, and for all children through 5 years old who live within those school districts
