- Filipino families are increasingly turning to DIY celebrations in homes, condominiums and smaller event venues
- Epson positions its CO-FH02 Smart Projector as a versatile entertainment solution for family gatherings and special occasions
- The Full HD projector supports streaming, gaming and video calls, extending its use beyond one-time celebrations
Filipino families are finding new ways to celebrate milestones without relying on traditional event venues and elaborate audiovisual setups, creating opportunities for home entertainment technology providers such as Epson.
As more households organize birthdays, weddings and holiday gatherings in living rooms, condominium function rooms and smaller venues, Epson is positioning its CO-FH02 Smart Projector as a multipurpose device that can support both special occasions and everyday entertainment.
The growing preference for do-it-yourself (DIY) celebrations reflects changing consumer habits, with families drawing inspiration from social media and online platforms to personalize events while making better use of available spaces.
For technology companies, this creates opportunities to market entertainment devices beyond their conventional applications.

Epson’s CO-FH02 allows users to project videos, photographs and presentations onto larger surfaces without requiring an elaborate audiovisual setup.
The projector can support various activities, from showing same-day wedding edits and birthday montages to organizing karaoke sessions and multiplayer gaming activities.
During family gatherings, users can also project video calls to include relatives overseas, particularly during Christmas celebrations and other occasions.
For children’s parties, the device can connect to gaming consoles, allowing participants to play multiplayer games on a larger screen instead of gathering around smaller devices.
The CO-FH02 delivers 3,000 lumens of color and white brightness using Epson’s 3LCD technology, designed to maintain image visibility under different lighting conditions.
It offers Full HD 1080p resolution and can project images measuring up to 391 inches, depending on the available space and projection distance.
Weighing 2.6 kilograms, the projector can be moved between rooms and suitable indoor venues. It also comes with an Android TV dongle and supports Chromecast and Bluetooth audio connectivity, allowing users to stream content and connect compatible external devices.
Epson is highlighting the projector’s potential for repeated use, from milestone celebrations to movie nights, sporting event screenings and casual gatherings.
The CO-FH02 is available in the Philippines through Shopee, Lazada, TikTok Shop and authorized Epson dealers. —Vanessa Hidalgo | Ed: Corrie S. Narisma
