In an awards show situation, fashion victim offenses are considered especially heinous.
Fortunately, the dedicated entertainers posing outside the Peacock Theater at L.A. Live at the 2026 Emmys Sept. 14—led by first-time hostMariska Hargitay—are members of an elite squad. These are their stories.
Because no investigation is necessary to know that the stars of the small screen turned up in downtown Los Angeles ready to rule the red carpet.
And dare we say that we will always love Ciara Miller‘s look.
Ahead of her Dancing With the Stars debut, the Summer House alum shimmied down the carpet in a dress that once belonged to Whitney Houston.
“She wore this in 1993, 1994,” Miller shared during the Live From E!: Countdown to the 2026 Emmys. “This is a Marc Bouwer. “It was a gift to me, and it’s so special because in a couple days on Dancing With the Stars, my first dance is to Whitney Houston’s ‘Exhale,’ and so I thought, ‘What a better there’s a better event to wear it than now.'”

Emmys 2026 Nominations: Snubs and Surprises
And she’s not the only one feeling the heat with somebody.
“The ventilation is good,” Your Friends & Neighbors star Aimee Carrero joked of her two-piece David Koma ‘fit in an exclusive interview with Keltie Knight during Live From E!: 2026 Emmys. “And we’re glad we got a wax.”
Also set to scrub in for the carpet: Noah Wyle, Katherine LaNasa and the cast of The Pitt, leading all series with a healthy 25 nods. They’ve already collected four at the Creative Arts Emmys, so the prognosis is strong that they’ll walk away from the NBC ceremony with more heavy metal.
And there are even more reasons to feel, uh, euphoric.
We’re set to be treated to another look from Zendaya, who, along with Hacks‘ Jean Smart, could make Emmys history.
Should they walk away with Lead Actress honors in their respective drama series and comedy series categories, they’d be the first female performers to win for every season of their shows. (Check out the full list of winners here.)

While two-time Emmy winner Zendaya has long since graduated from challenger status to pro, with that great power, comes the great responsibility of nailing another Emmys night look.
And though her longtime stylist Law Roach hasn’t yet shared what’s up his well-tailored sleeve, designer Michael Korshas some thoughts about the drama celebs like Claire Danes, Sarah Pidgeon, Elle Fanning and Chase Infiniti could bring to TV’s biggest night.
“I think Hollywood is getting tired of the traditional princess,” he shared with E! News ahead of his New York Fashion Week show. While old Hollywood glamour is great and all, he noted, in the year 2026, “it’s old.”
Which is why he expects to see ‘fits that are a bit more experimental. “Break the rules,” he advised. “Wear a pair of paints. Wear something short. Do something different.”
Though he does recommend following one guideline: “Think about how it moves and comfort. Because if there’s some sense of comfort, you’re going to have a better time.”
No doubt these stars are comfortably crushing it. Check out all their looks.
