Sharna Burgess is heating up the ballroom with a red-hot new look.
Following her return to Dancing With the Stars for season 35 after a five-year hiatus, the professional dancer went back to her roots in another form, trading her light blonde locks for her trademark deep red hair color.
“Let’s be real,” Burgess shared in a Sept. 25 Instagram video, debuting her blonde-to-red transformation, “going from this, to this, requires a whole new level of maintenance.”
To protect her new ‘do, the Aussie native—mom to son Zane, 4, with fiancé Brian Austin Green—is collaborating with Amika to “help keep my hair strong, shiny and vibrant.”
And the hair care brand actually helped the 41-year-old—who is partnered with Bachelor Nation alum Tyler Cameron on DWTS—decide it was the right time to return to the red after the company told her it “wanted to bring back the Sharna red,” and “develop a campaign around her caring” for her signature color.
“I was like, ‘All right, bet,'” she said. “‘Let’s do it!'”
This marks the latest of Burgess’ dramatic hair transformations in recent years.
After all, the DWTS champion traded her dark red tresses for a strawberry blonde in June 2025, before later playing with different shades of blonde over time. And earlier this year, Burgess chopped off her long locks for a chic shoulder-length bob.

But for the ballroom dancer, her bright red hairstyle is significant to her in more ways than one.
“In life, I could be any color. Blonde also suits me,” Burgess explained on a December 2024 episode of The Joe Vulpis Podcast. “I’m a very gentle, nurturing person.”
But, as she put it, “As a dancer, I have a lot of sass and a lot of sensuality. There is a whole other side of me that comes out, and I think the red hair totally captures that.”
