The first full trailer for Dragon Ball Super: Beerus has been released, offering a fresh look at Toei Animation’s enhanced edition of the hit anime series. The project revisits the early Dragon Ball Super storyline with new cuts, redrawn sequences, re-rendered footage, updated sound and a reconstructed narrative. It will premiere in Japan on October 11, 2026.
The trailer opens with Goku launching a Kamehameha before shifting into footage of his confrontation with Beerus, the God of Destruction. The story takes place several years after the battle with Majin Buu, when Earth has entered a brief period of peace. Beerus awakens from his long sleep and learns about the Saiyan who defeated Frieza, setting him on a collision course with Goku.
The new footage also gives fans a glimpse at Frieza, who appears towards the end of the trailer inside a regeneration chamber. The appearance has fuelled speculation about the project moving into the Resurrection ‘F’ storyline, while the trailer also features Hit and characters from the Universe 6 arc.
Dragon Ball Super: Beerus was announced as an enhanced version of the original Dragon Ball Super, which ran from 2015 to 2018. Toei Animation has reconstructed the series with extensive revisions to existing scenes, additional footage, newly recorded dubbing and updated music and sound effects. The production is designed to give the battles greater visual impact while bringing the storytelling closer to Akira Toriyama’s original concepts.
The new anime will feature an opening theme titled “ONOGAMI” by MEGATERA・ZERO and an ending theme, “Kan Peki No Peki,” by VK Blanka.
The first episode will receive an advance screening at New York Comic Con on October 8, with English dub voice actors Jason Douglas, Ian Sinclair and Monica Rial appearing at the Dragon Ball Super: Beerus panel.
Dragon Ball Super: Beerus premieres in Japan on October 11, 2026.
