Kai Trump reveals who her new celebrity crush is
Kai Trump told Fox News Digital that her celebrity crush is no longer “Outer Banks” star Drew Starkey.

Kai Trump surprised fans when she revealed her choice for her “song of the year.”
In a video that she shared on her YouTube channel and TikTok, the 19-year-old granddaughter of President Donald Trump admitted that she was caught off guard when she was recently asked to pick a song that “would define your past year.”
“And I really did not know. I couldn’t think of a song at all. And I’m like, you know what? I just said ‘Rolling in the Deep’ by Adele,” Kai said with a laugh. “I don’t know, that was like the only song that came up, like came to my head.”

“Rolling in the Deep,” which was released in 2010 as the first single off Adele’s second studio album “21,” is widely considered the singer’s breakthrough hit. “Rolling in the Deep” reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart where it spent seven weeks at the top.
The song, which also topped the charts in more than a dozen countries, won three Grammy Awards in 2012 including record of the year, song of the year and best short form music video.
“Rolling in the Deep” is credited with helping launch Adele into global superstardom and is still regarded as one of her signature songs alongside “Someone Like You” and “Hello.”

Kai has previously named “Rolling in the Deep” as one of her favorite songs. During a video that she shared on her YouTube channel in March, Kai participated in an “Ask Me Anything” Q&A session with her fans, in which she was asked about her favorite song. Along with “Rolling in the Deep, Kai also said her top picks include “November Rain” by Guns N’ Roses and “House of Balloons” by the Weeknd.
“Or ‘After Party’ by the Weeknd,: she added. “Also ‘Wicked Games’ by the Weeknd. I love The Weeknd.”

Kai regularly gives fans a glimpse into her personal favorites including food, hobbies and celebrities during social media Q&As and interviews. During an interview with Fox News Digital, Kai revealed that she had a new celebrity crush after previously naming “Outer Banks” star Drew Starkey in 2024.

“I think Theo James now, yeah, Theo James, I would say, so it’s changed,” Kai began. “I mean, like, I still like him [Starkey], but it’s just changed a little.”
When asked why James has taken her No. 1 spot, the 19-year-old gushed over his looks.
“He’s very attractive,” Kai said of James, 41.

Two years ago, Kai took to her YouTube channel to answer questions that her fans submitted on X. In a clip titled “Get to know me better…Q&A,” one social media user asked, “Celebrity crush?”
Before responding, Kai asked for her phone, noting she “had to look up” her celebrity crush. Upon glancing at the screen, she said, “Oh my God, I know. Why do I need my phone? His name is Drew Starkey. Do you guys know him — ‘Outer Banks?’”
“I’m gonna blush right now!” Kai added as her cheeks turned red, and she fanned herself with her hand.

Kai told Fox News Digital that having her grandfather in office has made her dating life “tricky.”
“It’s not easy, to be honest with you, but, you know, you gotta live life,” she said. “You gotta just keep on doing normal stuff, you know? At the end of the day, I was in high school, lived a normal high school life, and now I’m going to college. So, just kinda live as normal of a life as possible.”
The oldest child of Donald Trump Jr. and Vanessa Trump is set to begin her freshman year at the University of Miami this fall. Kai, who frequently plays golf with her grandfather, will compete on the Hurricanes women’s golf team during the 2026-27 season.
