Disney+ Unveils AI-Powered Mystery Variety Show “Murder Club: Liar’s Table,” Premiering July 29
Disney+ is set to expand its Korean variety slate with Murder Club: Liar’s Table, an innovative murder mystery game show that combines immersive storytelling, psychological gameplay, and AI-powered technology.
The new series premieres July 29, inviting viewers to unravel elaborate murder cases alongside an all-star cast.
Unlike conventional survival programs, Murder Club: Liar’s Table transforms its celebrity participants into suspects, detectives, and potential culprits in a suspense-filled game where deception is the ultimate weapon. Each mission unfolds inside meticulously recreated worlds—from the Joseon Dynasty and a baseball stadium to a prison—where AI-generated video sequences vividly reconstruct each crime, allowing players to experience every case as if they were inside the investigation.
With only fragments of evidence and carefully planted clues at their disposal, the cast must work together to expose the murderer hidden among them. But as alliances shift and suspicions grow, the guilty party employs every possible strategy to stay undetected, turning every conversation into a battle of deduction and every decision into a potential game changer.
Bringing together personalities from across entertainment, sports, gaming, and digital media, the show’s diverse lineup features travel YouTuber Pani Bottle, esports superstar Faker, veteran comedian Choi Yangrak, comedian Eom Jiyoon, actor Shin Sung Rok, viral content creator Kim Seontae, TVXQ!’s Max Changmin, professional baseball player Kim Hyunsoo, TOMORROW X TOGETHER member Beomgyu, and Culinary Class Wars chef Park Juseong. Their contrasting instincts, personalities, and problem-solving styles promise unpredictable twists as the investigation unfolds.
Produced by KJH Studio in collaboration with Skaper AI, the series highlights how artificial intelligence can elevate unscripted entertainment, seamlessly blending cinematic crime recreations with social deduction gameplay. The result is a fresh take on the mystery genre that challenges both the cast and viewers to separate truth from deception until the final reveal.
Murder Club: Liar’s Table continues Disney+’s growing investment in premium Korean unscripted content. Fans of strategic competitions and survival-based entertainment can also stream Battle of Fates, I Am Boxer, and The Zone: Survival Mission, along with an expanding collection of APAC Originals available on the platform.
Packed with suspense, clever misdirection, and an irresistible guessing game, Murder Club: Liar’s Table makes its exclusive Disney+ debut on July 29.
