The Festival de la BD in Contern has become a much-anticipated event for comic book enthusiasts, and this year the excitement was taken up a notch with the presence of Don Rosa, one of Disney’s most renowned illustrators.
Rosa, famous for his stories about Scrooge McDuck and Donald Duck, drew fans from across the region, with some waiting patiently in line for hours just to meet him and receive a personalised autograph.
However, the festival is not just about renowned international stars. It also celebrates local talent, featuring Luxembourgish artists such as Lucien Czuga and Ricco Martini, who have both published their own comics and books.
The event brings together fans of all ages from the Greater Region, many of whom have been attending for years, which makes it a cherished tradition on the local cultural calendar.
