Much like a natural disaster, we can measure the financial impact of San Diego Comic Con in dollars. My personal favorite is checking out the price changes of comic exclusives weeks after Comic Con, and the team over at Covrprice makes it easy with their 3rd annual 2026 San Diego Comic-Con Exclusives List.
If you didn’t know, comic book exclusives are generally made available at conventions like SDCC in a few ways: for sale across the show floor, through exhibitors or the show itself, and as giveaways for attending panels or visiting specific booths. Some are so limited in print number that they might be gone within the first hour. Getting your hands on some of these exclusives was difficult if you were walking the floor, which is why you will see at-home collectors enthusiastically trying to track them down in the aftermarket.
After investing over 250 hours of staff time and thousands of dollars in manual research, CovrPrice found that a staggering 896 comic book exclusives were made available at the San Diego Comic-Con this year. CovrPrice has taken it upon itself to start tracking not only what exclusives vendors and publishers offered at SDCC but also price fluctuations. Personally, I found the 2026 San Diego Comic-Con Exclusives List very useful in getting ready and figuring out where I needed to go this SDCC.
