Tenn. (WBBJ) –Superheroes, gamers, and pop culture fans are taking over downtown Jackson this weekend for a celebration of all things comic and cosplay
The third annual West Tennessee Comic Con is officially underway at the Carl Perkins Civic Center.
The two-day event features a massive vendor hall, special guests, gaming tournaments, and a live magic show.
Organizers say there are also interactive panels and a cosplay contest, promising something for the entire family.
“We started this three years ago. We just thought that this would be a great opportunity to bring something like this to a pop culture event that’s very family friendly, to the West Tennessee area and Jackson seemed like the perfect spot,” said Austin Bell, Event Organizer.
With the heat index climbing outside this weekend, it is the perfect excuse to head indoors, enjoy the air conditioning, and celebrate your favorite fandoms.
