Actor-comedian Rajiv Thakur is mourning the loss of his father. The comedian was expected to perform alongside his The Kapil Sharma Show co-star Krushna Abhishek at a scheduled event in Indore, but the performance has now been postponed following the bereavement.

Krushna, who had already reached Indore for the event, shared the unfortunate news with the audience through a video posted by the event management company. Explaining the sudden change in plans, he said that Rajiv’s father had passed away while the comedians were travelling to the city.
“I have just landed in Indore. And there is sad news that I want to share with you all,” Krushna Abhishek said, before informing fans that Rajiv was supposed to perform with him the following day. He described the news as “very sad” for the entire fraternity.
The announcement also came with an appeal to those who had already purchased tickets for the show to take note of the postponement. The organisers later confirmed that the event had been called off due to unforeseen circumstances.

In a statement shared alongside the announcement, the organisers apologised to ticket holders for the inconvenience and confirmed that the entire ticket amount would be refunded. A new date for the Indore event has not yet been announced, with further details expected once the situation is clearer.
Krushna’s message focused on giving Rajiv the space to be with his family during the difficult time. Rajiv, meanwhile, has not yet made a public statement about his father’s death.
The comedians have shared a long professional association, having worked together on several comedy shows over the years. Their connection through The Kapil Sharma Show has also made them familiar faces to television audiences.
Rajiv has built a career across television, films and digital entertainment. Apart from his comedy work, he has appeared in projects including Thug Life, Tara Mira, Zindagi Zindabaad, Kanjoos Majnu Kharchili Laila and IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack.
For now, the spotlight remains on Rajiv and his family as they deal with their loss. The Indore event will be rescheduled, but no official date has been announced yet.
