CBS is beefing up its roster by bringing back one of its most popular shows. According to the latest reports, the network has officially revived Undercover Bossfor a new season, four years after its last season aired on screen. Besides this, it has also greenlit two other shows.
Per The Hollywood Reporter, Undercover Boss is currently in pre-production on a new season. This time around, Drew Carey is joining as the series host. The previous seasons notably didn’t have a host.
Meanwhile, the two other new shows are a game show called Stacks of Cash and a reality competition, 24 Hour Millionaire.
Mitch Graham, Executive VP Alternative Series at CBS, said about the network’s slate of shows: “These orders reflect our commitment to building a deep year-round unscripted slate with formats that are ambitious, entertaining and distinctly CBS.”
“We couldn’t think of a better time to bring back a re-imagined version of Boss, with Drew Carey serving as our host through undercover journeys that tap into the heart and authenticity of hard-working employees that audiences have always loved seeing,” he said about reviving the show.
Just like the previous seasons, this new season of Undercover Boss will also follow CEOs and corporate executives who disguise themselves and take on jobs as everyday workers to see how their companies really function.

24 Hour Millionaire, on the other hand, will unfold over a 24 Hour period with no breaks for contestants, as the title implies. The players in this reality show will have to face physical and strategic challenges while competing for a $1 million prize. It is currently in pre-production.
Graham added in his statement about the two new shows: “Our new series Stacks of Cash delivers another fun, appealing family game show, and 24 Hour Millionaire gives us an exciting new format that feels incredibly groundbreaking in the competition space.”
CBS hasn’t set a premiere date for any of these shows yet, as of this writing.
