Kodansha USA has announced thelicense acquisition of several new manga titlesfor English print release in spring 2027 at San Diego Comic-Con 2026. The new licenses includeKraken MareandSubaru and Subaru,among others, as well as a box set release ofThe Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity.

A TV anime adaptation of the Millennium Family (Odoru Sennen Kazoku) manga has been announced with a teaser visual. Masato Jinbo (Ghost Concert: Missing Songs, The Quintessential Quintuplets Movie, The Quintessential Quintuplets*, The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 2) is directing the anime at PartsCraft.
The Millennium Family manga, currently serialized in Young King OURs is receiving a television anime adaptation. The series is scheduled to air on TBS and other networks

Disney Twisted-Wonderland: The Animation Season 2, titled Episode of Savanaclaw, will stream exclusively on Disney+ beginning in December. A teaser visual and comments from three voice cast members have also been released.
Japanese bestselling author Keigo Higashino (JP: 東野圭吾) died of colorectal cancer in the early hours of July 23. He was 68. Kodansha announced his death on July 27.
It’s coming: Marvel and Kadokawa. Marvel announced their second partnership of San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday at the Marvel Fanfare panel. The publisher announced that Marvel will collaborate with manga publisher Kadokawa to release original material involving Marvel characters.
