Country star Carly Pearce explained how her heart condition diagnosis reshaped her workout routine and helped her prioritize long-term health over intensity.

Country star Carly Pearce has revealed that kids are off the table.
Earlier this week, Pearce responded to a fan on TikTok who asked her if she was still deciding on children and if she would ever remarry. Pearce was married to singer Michael Ray for a year before they divorced in 2020.
“Maybe some of you out here are like me. I always feel bad saying that I actually don’t want children. I love children, I love my friends’ children, I’m a great aunt. But, it was never my dream,” the 36-year-old said.

Pearce went on to explain that her dream was always to pursue country music and live on the road.

“I think we should normalize people that truly know they don’t wanna have kids. I don’t think it should be for everyone just because society tells us to,” Pearce stated. “So, I don’t want children and I’m totally okay with that.”
Pearce addressed the fan’s second question about marriage and said she “absolutely” wants to get married again. The “truck on fire” singer said that she would never let her past sway her away from marriage.
“So what I was divorced. It was my start-up marriage and now I get to have the real one,” Pearce ended her video.

Fans were supportive of Pearce’s decision in the comment section of her TikTok.

“People who don’t want children shouldn’t have children. More power to you!” one user wrote. Another added, “You should not feel bad!”
“It is totally ok that is not your dream! Be you!” another user wrote. “You should never feel bad. Women are validated so much by how they serve others as a wife, mother, etc. than just the person they are,” another TikTok user commented.

Pearce and Ray began dating in 2018 after Pearce made the first move by messaging him on social media. Their whirlwind romance quickly progressed, with the couple getting engaged in December 2018 and marrying in a Nashville-area ceremony in October 2019. Less than a year later, however, Pearce filed for divorce in June 2020, citing irreconcilable differences, and the divorce was finalized that September.

Since her divorce, Pearce has had a few relationships, including her current relationship with entrepreneur Jordan Karcher, founder of Grounds & Hounds Coffee Co. The couple went Instagram official in July 2025.
