A new Blue Box pop-up shop is set to open this November, offering exclusive merchandise featuring five characters in newly illustrated artwork created for a collaboration with Sanrio.
The “Blue Box × Sanrio Characters PremiumShop” will take place at POP Culture Style IKEBUKURO, with additional merchandise sales planned at four Gamers stores across Japan.

Based on the manga by Kouji Miura, Blue Box follows Taiki Inomata, a high school badminton player who develops feelings for Chinatsu Kano, a talented basketball player at the same school.

The series combines romance with competitive school sports, following Taiki, Chinatsu and their friends as they balance their relationships with their ambitions in athletics.

For the new collaboration, five Blue Box characters appear in two sets of original illustrations, each exploring a different theme.
The first collection, titled “Bound Coordinate Illustrations,” depicts Taiki, Chinatsu and their companions wearing casual outfits inspired by a day out at a theme park.
The second collection, titled “Club Activities Illustrations,” features chibi-style versions of the characters enjoying their respective sports and school activities alongside Sanrio characters.
Both illustration sets will be used across a new merchandise collection, including acrylic stands, trading badges and additional character accessories.
The full product lineup and individual prices have not yet been revealed, with further merchandise announcements expected before the event opens.
Visitors to the main pop-up shop will also find special character panel displays featuring artwork from the collaboration.

The merchandise will be available at Gamers stores in Sendai, Nagoya, Namba and Hakata, although these locations will operate as additional retail outlets rather than hosting the full pop-up shop experience.
Admission restrictions or numbered entry tickets may be introduced at participating locations depending on visitor numbers.
The “Blue Box × Sanrio Characters PremiumShop” will run from November 20 through December 16, 2026 at POP Culture Style IKEBUKURO, located on the second floor of Ikebukuro Square au Style in Tokyo.
The main venue will open daily from 10:00 AM until 8:00 PM.
Merchandise sales at the four participating Gamers stores will begin on November 20 and continue while supplies last, with opening hours varying by location.
