Update 30 dropped a lot of content into Blox Fruits, but the Magnet Fruit is the one people are actually talking about. It turns you into a giant mech, lets you yank swords out of enemies’ hands mid-fight, and builds power as you collect scrap during combat. The mechanics are unlike anything else in the game right now. Here’s everything you need to know to get it and use it well.

How do you get the Magnet Fruit in Blox Fruits?

There are two ways to obtain the Magnet Fruit: spending Robux directly or rolling the Summer Magnet Gacha with Magnet Tokens.

Purchasing with Robux is the straightforward route. Head into the in-game menu, navigate to Menu > Shop > Permanent Fruit & Skins
, and the Magnet Fruit costs 3,500 Robux. You own it permanently from that point.

Rolling the Summer Magnet Gacha is the free-to-play path, but the 1% drop rate means you’ll need a serious stack of Magnet Tokens before you see results. Each roll costs 500 Magnet Tokens. The gacha is accessible through the Blox Fruit Dealer NPC, found in Middletown in the First Sea, Kingdom of Rose and the Cafe in the Second Sea, and Port Town and the Mansion in the Third Sea. Interact with the NPC and select the Magnet Event prompt to roll.

    warning
The Summer Magnet Gacha is a limited-time event running until September 22, 2026. If you’re grinding for Tokens, don’t wait around.

How to farm Magnet Tokens fast

Magnet Tokens drop from magnetized enemies during the Magnet event, which runs every hour at the top of the hour (00:XX mark) and lasts 10 minutes. Each magnetized enemy drops roughly 22 to 24 Tokens, so efficient farming during that window matters.

You can spot magnetized enemies by the word “(Magnetized)” next to their name, metallic objects hovering above their head, a blue aura, and magnetized hands replacing their normal ones. They typically spawn near the weakest enemy groups on each island.

Here are the most effective farming strategies:

    • Clear magnetized enemies on your current island, then move to the next one immediately.
    • Check weak enemy spawn points first since magnetized variants appear there most often.
    • Use a Portal fruit or similar fast-travel ability to jump between islands. Boats and dashes waste too much of the 10-minute window.
    • Cluster multiple magnetized enemies together and hit them with AoE attacks to clear groups quickly.
    • Farm in a private server to avoid other players competing for the same spawns.

    tip
Joining a private server during the event window is the single biggest time-saver. Shared servers mean shared spawns, and that 10-minute clock moves fast.

    Magnet Fruit passive abilities explained

Before getting into the active moves, understanding the two passives is key because they shape how every fight plays out.

Magnetic Power is the core passive. During combat, Scrap appears around you and collecting it fills your Magnetic Power meter through three stages. Each stage grows your mechanical arms larger and strengthens your M1 attacks:

    • Stage 1: Basic mechanical arm, standard M1 attacks.
    • Stage 2: Arms grow larger, M1 combo chain extends, and Magnetic Pull activates.
    • Stage 3: Maximum arm size, longest M1 combo, strongest Magnetic Pull radius and speed.

Taking damage depletes the meter, so you need to keep collecting Scrap to hold higher stages. Think of it as a momentum system: the longer you stay aggressive, the stronger you get.

Magnetic Pull activates automatically at Stage 2 and passively drags nearby enemies toward you. At Stage 3, the pull radius expands significantly. This passive does a lot of quiet work by keeping opponents inside your attack range without any input from you.

    Magnet Fruit moveset: normal form

Most Magnet moves behave differently depending on whether you tap or hold the key. Knowing both versions of each ability doubles your options in any fight.

The F move deserves special attention in PvP. Catching a sword user with the tap version forces them to drop their equipped weapon, which opens a window for follow-up attacks before they can re-equip. Against players who rely heavily on sword combos, this single ability shifts the entire fight.

For players just getting started with the game, the Blox Fruits beginner strategies guide covers the stat builds and progression basics that pair well with a fruit like Magnet.

    Maximum Overdrive: the mech transformation

Once you have enough Magnetic Power stored up, Maximum Overdrive transforms you into a large mechanical suit with a completely different moveset. The transformation grants significantly higher defense, strong resistance to gun damage, and super armor on the X and C moves (meaning those attacks cannot be interrupted once started).

The one clear weakness: lightning attacks deal increased damage against the mech form. Keep that in mind when facing opponents who run lightning-based fruits.

The exit from Maximum Overdrive is worth planning around. When you press V to leave the mech, the suit doesn’t just disappear. It pulls surrounding enemies toward it and detonates, so timing the exit near a cluster of opponents turns the end of your transformation into a free burst of damage.

Is Magnet Fruit worth getting for PvP?

Yes, and the reasons go beyond raw damage numbers. The fruit has multiple crowd-control tools built into its base kit: Scrap Arsenal pulls enemies toward projectiles, Magnetic Overcharge cages targets, Polarizing Drop lifts and slams, and the Magnetic Pull passive keeps opponents in range passively. The F move’s sword disarm is a genuine problem for sword-heavy players.

In mech form, the super armor on X and C means you can execute those moves without worrying about getting combo-broken mid-animation. That’s a meaningful advantage in PvP where interrupts decide fights.

The main limitation is that the Magnetic Power system requires active upkeep. If you take sustained damage, your stages drop and your M1s weaken. Playing defensively for too long actually hurts you. Magnet rewards aggressive, forward-pressure playstyles.

For context on where Magnet sits relative to other options, the Blox Fruits devil fruit tier list breaks down every fruit by combat performance.
