TL;DR: <a href="https://comicvibe.com/xbox-360-games-on-pc-microsofts-leaked-2027-plan-2026/” title=”Xbox 360 Games on PC: Microsoft's Leaked 2027 Plan [2026]”>Leaked email from Blizzard president Johanna Faries says Blizzard was Xbox/Microsoft’s top-performing studio in FY26, driven by Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred and Overwatch, marking back-to-back growth after FY25. Blizzard remains a limited-integration entity within Microsoft, plans ongoing updates, and teases major reveals at BlizzCon 2026..

“In FY26 Blizzard ended the year as the top-performing studio in Xbox’s studios division, and this past year has marked our third highest fiscal for top-line revenue in Blizzard’s history,” Blizzard President Johanna Faries writes in a leaked email sent to staff, obtained by Windows Central. With Blizzard’s big in-person community event Blizzcon 2026 returning next month in Anaheim, it sounds like the studio is firing on all cylinders.

According to the Windows Central report, the home of Overwatch, World of Warcraft, and Diablo 4 operates as a “limited-integration entity” within Microsoft and Xbox. This means its various teams and leadership are still functioning as a single studio and succeeding, while other Xbox teams and franchises, including Activision and Call of Duty, have been struggling.

With Xbox’s latest financial report showing both hardware and overall revenue declining year-over-year by double-digits, it has been a different story for Blizzard. “FY25 and FY26 were our first back-to-back years of growth since FY17,” Johanna Faries added. “Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred and Overwatch drove exceptional performance in particular, with Overwatch delivering its strongest quarter since 2022.”

Although it’s an expansion, it sounds like Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred was a big success for the studio, while also being one of the rare first-party Xbox releases that didn’t launch into Xbox or PC Game Pass. And with Overwatch’s big reset seeing more players return or pick up the hero shooter, it sounds like both Diablo 4 and Overwatch will continue to receive updates and new content in the coming years. Johanna Faries’ email also offers some teasers about Blizzcon 2026, where it seems we’re going to get several reveals and announcements.

How did Blizzard rank within Microsoft’s Xbox studios in FY26 according to the leaked email?

Which Blizzard games does the article credit for driving the studio’s exceptional performance in FY26?

What does the article mean by Blizzard operating as a “limited-integration entity” within Microsoft and Xbox?

How did Blizzard’s fiscal performance in FY25–FY26 compare to its previous years of growth?

“It’s my hope that the event can shine a light on the work underway at Blizzard,” Faries writes. “And that it can serve as a powerful springboard into a new era of momentum and excitement behind our mission to bring joy and belonging for communities worldwide.” The wording here indicates that in addition to Overwatch, World of Warcraft, and Diablo 4 announcements, we’ll also be seeing something new, which could be the long-rumored StarCraft shooter.
