Bigg Boss Tamil 10 has entered a serious phase as the host Vijay Sethupathi has become more open while commenting on the contestants’ performances and behaviour inside the house.
In the latest weekend episode, Vijay Sethupathi said the “honeymoon period” was over for the contestants, and they couldn’t afford to be relaxed and continue with the game in the same way anymore. He also pointed out that some housemates were not doing enough in the competition.
One of the comments that drew attention was his mention of Kumaran, whose relatively quiet presence in the house has been noticed by viewers. “Are the contestants even hearing all the discussions and fights that are happening inside the house?” asked Vijay Sethupathi.
The host also talked about handling criticism, telling the contestants that being criticised and responding to it maturely is part of the game. His words sparked a discussion among the viewers, with some agreeing with him and others starting to look for a deeper meaning beyond the show.
This comes after an earlier controversy over Vijay Sethupathi’s comments on leadership, promises and how contestants play in the show’s ‘Democracy Room’ format. Social media viewers compared those remarks with outside-the-programme developments. Following the discussion, the channel said: “The situations and conversations in the program are part of the entertainment format and should not be considered as anything to do with people, organisations or circumstances outside the programme.”
In the latest episode, Vijay Sethupathi was also seen questioning Jason about his actions with Shama. Jason said he did it again because it was done to him before. The host asked if that was a revenge thing and how far that could go in the game.
Bigg Boss Tamil 10 seems to be coming out of its initial settling-down period with Vijay Sethupathi being more confrontational over the weekend episodes, with the contestants facing more scrutiny of their gameplay, leadership and individual conduct.
