Beast of Reincarnation, the new action RPG from Game Freak and publisher Fictions, goes live worldwide at 00:00 UTC on August 4, 2026. It’s coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through Steam, and it’ll also be available on Xbox Game Pass from day one.
So yes, everyone gets access at the same moment. That works out to August 3 at 5:00 p.m. PT and 8:00 p.m. ET, or August 4 at 1:00 a.m. BST, 2:00 a.m. CEST, and 9:00 a.m. JST.
The game has a darker tone, and its “one-person, one-dog action RPG” label is pretty much the pitch. You’re dropped into post-apocalyptic Japan in 4026 alongside Emma and her dog Koo. The setup mixes Emma’s blight-controlling powers, real-time sword combat, and Koo’s command abilities, with large open-map regions rather than one continuous world. The campaign is said to run around 30 to 40 hours, and if you tend to like combat-focused RPGs with a strong companion dynamic, this one seems like an easy add to the list.
Leaks and alleged pirated copies of Beast of Reincarnation have already started popping up ahead of launch, so if you want to go in clean, it’s probably smart to avoid spoilers before the download unlocks.
