Counselor Top 40 distributor BDA (asi/137616) has promoted Kristin Massoth to its national account director of sports and entertainment licensing.

She has spent more than 18 years at BDA, serving in various sales and marketing capacities. Most recently, she oversaw the distributor’s Major League Baseball team portfolio and strategic relationships.
“Kristin’s exceptional leadership of BDA’s Major League Baseball portfolio and her ability to deliver unforgettable client activations make her the perfect fit for this role,” said Steve Avanessian, executive vice president of client services and sports. “The strategic collaborations she leads do more than drive engagement – they create lasting memories and prove that merchandise is a powerful medium for brands.”
BDA also announced that it had acquired the licensing rights for Care Bears, Popeye and PAC-MAN, allowing the distributor to work with these entertainment properties for activations in sports stadiums and arenas.
That’s in addition to recently announced licensing agreements with Epic Games’ Fortnite and Harley-Davidson. BDA’s current list of partnerships includes about 30 sports league licenses, both professional and collegiate, as well as 15 master entertainment licenses that encompass dozens more brands.
“Merchandise collaborations with sports teams are meant to make memories and unite fandoms and create new fans,” Massoth said. “It is a privilege to be trusted by these iconic brands.”
BDA ranked sixth on Counselor’s most recent list of the largest distributors in the industry with $551.8 million in reported 2025 North American promotional products revenue.
