    • DC Comics released a trailer for the upcoming crossover comic Batman of Two Worlds, featuring two separate stories following different versions of Batman dealing with theft.
    • The Absolute Batman story in the issue, written by Scott Snyder, explores the theme of theft and justice in different worlds, while Matt Fraction’s Batman story contrasts the methods and approaches of the two versions of Bruce Wayne.
    • The issue, titled Batman of Two Worlds #1, will be available at local comic stores worldwide on Batman Day for $2.99, showcasing artwork by Nick Derington, Javi Fernandez, and Jorge Jimenez.

Comic readers now have another reason to look forward to September 19. DC released a trailer for a crossover that would have Absolute Batman fans buzzing with excitement.

Batman of Two Worlds will hit comic book shelves worldwide come Batman Day. While technically a crossover, it won’t really see the two versions of the Caped Crusader interact at all. Instead, it will feature two stories following the two iterations of the Dark Knight, dealing with the same type of crime.

You can check out the Batman of Two Worlds trailer below (watch more trailers):

What to know about DC’s Batman of Two Worlds

While the story largely remains under wraps, Scott Snyder, who has written the Absolute Batman story in the issue, revealed that both Dark Knights will be dealing with some theft. He said, “Without giving too much away, both stories are about theft, what theft means in one world versus the other, and what Batman’s form of justice looks like in each. That was the guiding principle that gave us the opportunity to tell two stories that celebrate each interpretation.”

Matt Fraction, who penned the Batman story in the issue, said the stories will show how each version of Bruce approaches the crime, contrasting their methods, situations, and mindsets. He explained, “One problem, two solutions. Each version of Batman has his own way of working and his own solution to that problem. The fun was putting them side by side so you can see the similarities, the differences, and the unique flavor and texture of each world.”

On the artist side, Nick Derington is credited with sketching the Absolute Batman story, with colorist Frank Martin and letterer Tom Napolitano. Javi Fernández illustrated the Batman’s story, with Tomeu Morey and Clayton Cowles serving as colorist and letterer, respectively.

Jorge Jiménez illustrated its cover with Nick Dragotta and Frank Martin. The issue, titled Batman of Two Worlds #1, will be available at participating local comic stores worldwide on Batman Day. It is priced at $2.99.
