While many of them focus primarily on sharing gaming sessions with their audiences, others spend their streams discussing current events and a wide range of topics. Of course, some of them have particularly controversial opinions.
One of the most polarizing figures on the Internet is undoubtedly Zack Hoyt, better known as Asmongold. He began his career as a content creator focused on World of Warcraft and other MMORPGs, but he now spends much of his time streaming Just Chatting content.
The American influencer has developed a controversial reputation because of his opinions on US politics and various social issues, and it appears that some of his most recent comments have resulted in a suspension from Twitch. For now, it remains unknown whether he will regain access to the account.
Asmongold suspended from Twitch for violating community guidelines
Although Asmongold’s main channel has more than 3.5 million followers, the content creator has primarily focused on his secondary account, ZackRawrr, which currently has more than 2.4 million followers on the popular streaming platform.
However, the streamer is currently unable to go live on that account because it has been suspended. Visiting the channel displays an error message stating that the user violated Twitch’s Community Guidelines. The suspension appears to have been issued on Thursday, August 6, 2026.
Twitch does not publicly disclose the specific reason why a streamer receives a suspension or how long the punishment will last. As a result, creators are generally responsible for providing that information themselves. Asmongold has yet to comment on the situation, so the exact reason for the suspension remains unknown.
That said, members of the community have already begun speculating about what happened. Some believe the suspension may be related to Asmongold’s recent controversial comments about immigrants, whom he described as “actual savages.” He also argued that authorities should target people attempting to cross the border regardless of whether they are children, men, or women.
Although Asmongold is currently unable to stream on his secondary channel, the suspension does not appear to affect his main account. It is therefore possible that he could address the situation during a future livestream and provide more details about the unexpected punishment.
For now, however, the duration of the suspension remains unknown.

For many people, Asmongold’s latest Twitch suspension may not come as a surprise. The streamer has been involved in several controversies over the years and has faced similar punishments before, eventually regaining access to his accounts.
In October 2024, Zack Hoyt was previously reprimanded by Twitch after making controversial comments about the situation in Gaza and claiming that people in Palestine came from an “inferior and horrible culture.”
His comments sparked widespread backlash. Asmongold later acknowledged that he had made a serious mistake and apologized, saying he would try to “do better” to avoid another controversy.
The streamer has also made headlines for criticizing people who complain about expensive video games, defending El Rubius, and speaking out against inclusive language featured in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.
For now, fans will have to wait and see whether Asmongold addresses his latest Twitch suspension and whether his main channel could face any action from the platform.
