In February of 2023, West Virginia delegate Elliott Pritt became the only Democratto support a statewide ban on gender-affirming care for transgender youth. By April, Pritt had transitioned from Democrat to Republican, ostensibly because of his disapproval of trans care and queer rights. Today, Pritt is being charged with enticing a minor through the children’s gaming platform Roblox.
So much for protecting the youth.
To make matters even creepier, Pritt has a day job as a public school teacher. A representative of Fayette County’s 50th district, Pritt also supported a measure to prohibit discussion of sexual and gender orientation in West Virginia schools in 2025. These bills were disguised as protective measures for young West Virginians. But when Pritt was using Roblox and Snapchat to communicate with an eighth grade girl, protections were nowhere in sight. The CSAM problem is so bad on Roblox, in fact, that even Texas AG and Tr*mp buddy Ken Paxton filed suit against the platform last year.
The communication between Pritt and his victim went on for a year. Pritt began requesting inappropriate photos, and eventually told the 15-year-old that he loved her. Eventually, he convinced his victim to meet him at his classroom at night, where the relationship turned physical. The two met his Pritt’s classroom several more times. To incentivize his victim’s silence, Pritt said that he would “lose everything” if the relationship was known. He warned that the the state police would “open up hell” in both their lives.
The victim’s family reported her abuse by Pritt to authorities. Now, the West Virginia House Speaker Roger Hanshaw is calling for his immediate resignation. “No child should ever be exploited by anyone, especially by the adults placed in positions of trust and charged with preparing young people, many of whom our statistics tell us unfortunately have no other caring adult figures in their lives,” Hanshaw said in a statement.
At this point, there’s nothing less shocking than a Republican getting disgraced in this exact way.
“A Republican?” One commenter wrote. “I’m shocked!”
Another said: “And my jaw…stayed in place.”
Just this week, Tr*mp crony Tulsi Gabbard’s brother was arrested after allegedly attempting to lure a 9-year-old boy to his hotel room with candy. Over the weekend the Tate brothers were arrested via special UK envoy for orchestrating their own CSAM empire in the UK and Romania. At least one social media count is dedicated to logging the many crimes against children perpetrated by diehard Tr*mp supporters. If the Epstein files controversy has showed us anything, it’s that this kind of unthinkable abuse against children is far more common, and more socially accepted in circles of power, than any of us could have imagined.
While the GOP continues to rail against trans citizens, LGBTQ+ rights, drag queen story hours, and DEI hiring, the real problem sits in plain sight.
