Three days remain until Aniventure Comic Con, the biggest pop culture event in Bulgaria, which will take place on July 11 and 12 at the Inter Expo Center. For two days, the venue will bring together fans of movies, television, gaming, comics, cosplay, manga, graffiti, art and literature, offering a packed program featuring international stars, Bulgarian creators and special experiences across four halls
Organizers promise an event where visitors can meet favorite actors, artists, gamers and online personalities, discover new projects and connect with other fans. The complete festival schedule is available on the official website, while a limited number of tickets are still available
One of the major highlights will be a special panel dedicated to the upcoming sixth season of the popular Bulgarian crime series “Undercover” (Pod Prikritie). The presentation will take place on July 11 at 4:30 PM on the MAIN Stage by MAX One in Hall 1, where visitors will have the chance to hear exclusive details about the new season and the filming process
The panel will feature actors Pavel Ivanov, Mihail Bilalov, Radina Kardzhilova, Alexander Sano and Kiril Efremov, who will return to the screen in their well-known roles. After the discussion, fans will have the opportunity to meet the cast during a Meet & Greet session in Hall 4
The sixth season of “Undercover” is produced by Falconwing Studio and the Bulgarian National Television. The executive producers are Magardich Halvadzhiyan and Sylvester Yordanov, while Viktor Bozhinov is the director. The writing team includes Vanya Nikolova, Borislav Zahariev, Slavi Angelov and Dimitar Mitovski, who is also the project’s creative producer
Among the biggest international guests this year are Hollywood actors Christopher Judge, John Rhys-Davies and Oona Chaplin. Judge is known for providing the voice of Kratos in the God of War video game series and for his role as Teal’c in Stargate SG-1. Rhys-Davies became world-famous as Gimli in The Lord of the Rings trilogy, while Chaplin, granddaughter of legendary actor Charlie Chaplin, has appeared as Varang in Avatar: Fire and Ash and Talisa Stark in Game of Thrones
The three stars will host their own panels on the MAIN Stage in Hall 1, where they will answer questions from host Stanislava Ivy and the audience. Visitors will also be able to take photos and receive autographs from the actors in the Meet & Greet area in Hall 4
Bulgarian cinema will also have a special place at the festival with the presentation of the fantasy thriller “The Heir” (Naslednikat), based on the novel by Denislav Dimchev and Yanitsa Mihaylova. On Sunday at 11:00 AM in Hall 1, audiences will see five minutes from the film for the first time, followed by a discussion with director and members of the cast, including Bashar Rahal and Kitodar Todorov. Fans will also be able to meet the team in the film’s dedicated area in Hall 4
The international art program will feature Spanish illustrator Ferran Rodriguez, who has created official visual interpretations of characters such as Sonic the Hedgehog and Donald Duck. Throughout his career, Rodriguez has worked on projects connected with major companies including Disney, Pixar, DreamWorks, DC and LEGO. He will meet Bulgarian fans at his booth in Hall 4
Another featured artist will be ART VLADI, a Bulgarian painter and sculptor whose hand-painted jackets are owned by international celebrities from sports, music and entertainment. During the festival, he will present his original comic project VI COMICS and the new series TIGERS on the Hall 4 stage on Sunday at 3:45 PM
Cosplay will once again be among the central attractions of Aniventure Comic Con, with the annual cosplay competition bringing together professional performers and fans in elaborate costumes. International cosplay artists Maike Huster, Wynter Phoenix and Lon Cosplay will serve as judges and select participants who will compete in prestigious international qualifiers
Hall 4 will host a variety of panels and fan meetings, including appearances by participants from the first season of the reality show “Traitors” on Saturday at 1:00 PM and “The Bachelor – Love in Paradise” on Sunday at 12:30 PM. Guests will share their experiences and meet with audiences
The festival will also welcome writer Vasil Popov, creator of the popular folklore horror series “Mamnik”. During a Q&A panel on July 11 at 2:30 PM, he will discuss the creation of the world behind “Mamnik” and its follow-up books “Lehusa”, “Azhder” and “Karaevren”, which have helped turn Bulgarian folklore into one of the most discussed themes in contemporary genre literature
Fans will also have the chance to meet Bulgarian content creators and entertainers, including Drago Stoyanov Saffrona, Dragomir Donchev, known as 4a1a, Martin Skibidov, known as Kralski, Krisia Todorova and actor Julian Kostov.
