Anime India’s Mumbai edition is approaching, with the event scheduled to take place from August 28 to 30, 2026, at the NESCO Exhibition Centre in Goregaon, Mumbai.
Anime India Mumbai will feature several global industry leaders, visionaries, and performers from Japan. The lineup includes Hayato Date, the legendary director of Naruto and Naruto Shippuden; animation producer Ryota Hasegawa; Junichiro Tamura; and several J-Pop stars.
Alongside the guests, Anime India will also feature Fandom Experience Zones and several exclusive activities. These will include a limited-edition 5th anniversary Jujutsu Kaisen booth, offering exclusive official merchandise, as well as a Naruto Dark Room experience.
The event will also feature a Gaming Arena with titles such as Street Fighter and retro arcade machines. Visitors can also take part in various competitions with a total prize pool of up to ₹4 lakh, including the Grand Cosplay Challenge, Closet Cosplay, Gaming Cosplay, prop-making, and general anime trivia.
Meanwhile, there is also an Anime India Contest, where individual creators, studios, and writing teams can pitch original story concepts centred on India-Japan cross-cultural themes. The Video Pitch Category has a prize of a million yen (₹6.02 lakh), while the Written Proposal Category has a prize of 300,000 yen (₹1.80 lakh).
Tickets for Anime India are available through the District app, with prices starting at ₹499.
