The next American Legion World Series champion will be crowned Tuesday.
The Central Plains region champion from Lincoln, Nebraska, meets the Northwest representative from Portland, Oregon, with a title on the line.
Both teams have learned to win when it counts. Portland dropped the first game of the Northwest region tournament before reeling off five consecutive victories, then went 1-2 in pool play at the World Series before edging Tupelo, Mississippi, in the semis.
Lincoln also bounced back from a loss in the regional and won four games in two days to reach the World Series. The Nebraska team fell to Tupelo during pool play but made it through and blew out Midland, Michigan, to reach the final.
Who will bring home the trophy? Here’s when and where to watch.
