    ‘American Horror Story’ ice cream trucks roll into San Diego Comic-Con

    Video: Downtown San Diego transforms for Comic-Con with building wraps

    SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — “American Horror Story” fans can find ice cream trucks around downtown San Diego this week promoting the show’s 13th season ahead of its fall premiere.

    But that’s not all. Rubber Man (“Murder House”), Twisty the Clown (“Freak Show”), the Witch (“Coven”) and other iconic AHS characters will be greeting fans getting ice cream and offering photo ops. Plus, fans are invited to a secret location on Saturday night to experience the “13th Scoop” activation.

    FX’s “American Horror Story” is celebrating its 13th installment that premieres September 24 by rolling into San Diego Comic-Con with a fleet of ice cream trucks with sinister sweets inspired by previous AHS chapters.

    Starting Thursday, July 23, “13 Flavors” will feature four AHS-themed ice cream trucks. Fans can find the ice cream trucks at different locations each day.

    On Thursday and Friday, the ice cream trucks will be at the Fifth Ave. Landing Lot B and the Hilton San Diego Bayfront Lawn from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Then, from 3 to 7 p.m., fans can find the ice cream trucks at Copley Alley at the Horton Grand Hotel and the MLK Promenade.

    On Saturday, fans can find the ice cream trucks at Copley Alley at the Horton Grand Hotel and the Hilton San Diego Bayfront Lawn from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The trucks will then be at the MLK Promenade and Fifth Ave. Landing Lot B from 1 to 5 p.m.

    The ice cream truck pop-up ends Saturday night with the “13th Scoop” secret event that will be held at a so far undisclosed location in downtown San Diego.

    Also, don’t miss the “American Horror Story: 13” building wrap on the Hilton San Diego Bayfront.

    “American Horror Story: 13” premieres Thursday, September 24 at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT on FX and Hulu, and can also be streamed on Disney+.

    Stay with FOX 5/KUSI for more off-site studio activation announcements, booth giveaways and themed pop-ups and cafes that will start showing up across downtown San Diego.
