AMCGlobal Media has officially announced a new UFO TV show that investigates real-life encounters with otherworldly events. The company has released a first-look teaser alongside the reveal of the new show.
Titled Archive X: Unexplained Phenomena, the six-part docuseries explores strange experiences involving UFOs, alien encounters, demonic forces, and more. Professor Jeffrey J. Kripal, a scholar of extraordinary human experiences, will host the series.
The show gains access to Rice University’s Center for the Impossible, one of the world’s largest collections of paranormal research. It also features stories of numerous personal encounters with unexplained phenomena.
The stories shared on this new UFO show add to an archive containing more than one million pieces of evidence gathered over nearly a century. The collection includes research into telepathy, near-death experiences, prophetic dreams, and messages from beyond. Moreover, Archive X also features research from Harvard psychiatrist Dr. John E. Mack and bestselling author Whitley Strieber.

What else do we know about AMC’s new UFO TV show?
Each episode of Archive X: Unexplained Phenomena focuses on a different unexplained phenomenon. The first episode, titled “Telepathic Children,” follows two non-verbal autistic girls who communicate telepathically with their mothers. Later episodes cover alien abduction accounts, prophetic dreams, mediums who help solve murders, and near-death survivors who return with unusual abilities.
The final episode, named “Aliens & Demons,” takes the spotlight, and it follows two women who believe unseen forces are attacking their bodies and minds. It also uncovers a Vatican exorcist who believed that UFOs and demonic phenomena could share a connection.
Harris Fishman and October Films developed the series for television. Fishman executive produces alongside Chris Muckle, Tom Thayer, and showrunner Mike Warner. Amy Lee-Jones directs the series, with Fishman also serving as co-director.
Archive X: Unexplained Phenomena premieres on October 1 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on SundanceTV, AMC+, and All Reality. New episodes will be released weekly on all platforms.
