The newest cast members will play Reiya Kiryuin’s parents, which includeAkira Ishidaas the father Senya Kiryuin andMisato Fukuenas the mother Sara Kiryuin. Ishida currently voices Asuma Kagemori inDaemons of the Shadow Realm, while Fukuen voiced Machi Nezu inA Misanthrope Teaches a Class for Demi-Humans.

Kazuhito Omiya(Obey Me!Season 2) is directing the anime series, withYumi Kamakuraas series composer andHikari Tanakaas character designer.Colored Pencil Animation Japanis handling the animation production.
The romantic fantasy light novel series is written byKurehaand illustrated byYu Shiroya. It was first published by Starts Publishing on October 28, 2020 and has released nine volumes as of May 2024.
The series began as a short story that won the Excellence Award in Starts Publishing’s first Novema! Character Tanpen Shosetsu Contest in the theme of “ayakashi x romance.” It began as a web novel on the Novema platform in 2019.
A manga drawn byJun Togashiwas released in December 2021. It won the main prize at Comic Cmoa’s Minna ga Erabu!! Denshi Comic Taisho 2023.
A live-action film adaptation of the series was screened in Japanese theaters on March 27, 2026.
