Rachel Zegler’s mission to save her parents in first trailer Fascinatedan upcoming animated feature for Netflix and Skydance.
Ziegler voices Elianne, the daughter of the King and Queen of Lumbria. After a mysterious spell turns her parents into monsters, she must go on a mission to save her family and her kingdom. The feature was previously housed at Apple, but moved to Netflix as Skydance Animation left Apple and struck a deal with the streaming giant.
John Lithgow, Jennifer Lewis, Nathan Lane and Tituss Burgess also lend their voices to the film. Shrek The project is helmed by co-director Vicky Jenson from a script written by Lauren Hynek, Elizabeth Martin and Julia Miranda.
The trailer promotes the work of Skydance Animation boss John Lasseter (who is not named), noting that the film draws from his Pixar hits such as Toy Story and car. Lasseter, who later joined Skydance, is a producer on the project, along with Skydance principals David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Bruce Anderson. It has a score by Alan Menken, and songs by Menken and Glenn Slater.
