I firmly believe that this year’s Olympics are for athletes. Not long ago, a runner on his way to the Olympics keeps flashing game Master Card before his game. Then the Olympics actually started obvious nod Assassin’s Creedcomplete with rooftop parkour and hooded characters. There was even one from Destiny 2, or at least close to one. Now, there is a person Clearly has been perfecting his neutral game in fighting games. His name is Sebastian Patrice and if fencing no longer suits him, he still has a future in competition next year EVO Championship.
That became apparent in a game this weekend that Patrice ultimately lost, but not before causing some buzz. That’s because when he was feeling down, Patrice decided to use an unorthodox method to try and win: he started jumping lightly and then very aggressively lunging at his opponent.
A completely ridiculous clip of Patrice achieving such a feat at the Paris Olympics is now circulating, and I’m kind of in disbelief about the whole thing. Apparently he was like a wounded (and failing) animal lashing out when cornered, but the move actually startled the other guy so much that he could only keep pushing forward, waving his arms wildly Saber, looking for contact until it’s hit. It’s the equivalent of pressing a button at your local arcade show and actually taking the victory away from your opponent.
I’ve always thought of fencing as being about calm, soft strikes and counterattacks, but to be honest, I’m not sure Patrice has ever heard of those terms. One of the most popular comments in the film joked that his “0-60 is faster than most cars,” and that’s not an exaggeration. This doesn’t look like fencing at all Mario and Sonic at the Olympics.
his neutral jump real pop up In the gaming community, it started as a joke Comment On his technique. Considering that just two weekends ago, the world’s largest fighting game tournament took place in Las Vegas, those with little recollection of the genre (myself included) started joking about kicks and jabs, and here’s what you Try to poke and attack another player and gain control of the space in front of you, opening up space for them to move further.
In fighting game parlance, my man Patrice clinch Jump in. His opponent seemed confused by Patrice’s sudden burst of energy and his approach, which could no Figure out how to punish this move. Instead, he ended up stuck, guarding Patrice until Patrice finally made an unstoppable run. He may not have won, but at least he provided (Gamer) Olympic Games Have your own EVO moment.
