If you’ve explored all the zones in Steal An Egg, you’ve no doubt come across the Sakura Incubator in the Cherry Blossom zone. This mysterious machine is found directly at the end of the path and requires you to insert one Crane Pet to activate it. The fact it requires you to sacrifice a baby bird’s soul to activate it is a little mysterious (and morbid), but hey, it’s a pretty handy contraption definitely worth one baby bird’s soul, as it lets you mutate eggs and add Mutations to your Pets. So, if you want to find a Crane to activate the Sakura Incubator, we’ve got you covered.

How to get a Crane in Steal An Egg
Luckily, getting a Crane in Steal An Egg is relatively straightforward, although you will have to be able to extract an egg from the Cherry Blossom zone, which is currently the hardest zone to conquer in the game. The recommended Speed level to safely extract eggs is 2.5 billion, which is hefty, and you’ll likely want to at least have an Eternal Trail to ensure you’re getting in and out without the Kitsune nabbing you.
When you’re able to retrieve Eggs from the Cherry Blossom zone successfully, keep an eye out for a white egg with a black and pink line through its centre and a pink cap. This egg will produce a Crane, so once you see it, get it back to your base and hatch it to add a Crane to your inventory.
Want to unlock the Sakura Incubator early? Try this strat! An extra tip from Callum
If you’re as impatient as me, you don’t want to spend hours grinding your speed to get a Crane and unlock the Sakura Incubator. And there‘s a super easy strat to get around all the grinding. Once you’re able to pick up an Egg and at least make it out of the Cherry Blossom zone without the Kitsune spiking you, you’ll notice that the Kitsune won’t return the Egg to its nest if you drop it on the floor.
This means you can basically run the Egg back in small bursts, dropping it every few seconds to prevent being knocked around by the Kitsune, then waiting for it to retreat and continuing your path back to spawn. The only real issue here is that players can grab the Egg when you drop it, but as long as you’re fending them off with a baseball bat, you can start to extract Eggs even if you’re below the recommended Speed level.
How to activate the Sakura Incubator in Steal An Egg
Now you have your Crane, run all the way back to the Cherry Blossom zone and interact with the Sakura Incubator. When you use your Crane, it’ll fly on top of the Incubator and activate it in a cutscene. Unfortunately, your Crane has now been sacrificed to the gods. RIP little buddy. I’ll remember you when I’m rolling in my piles of cash.
From now on, you’ll be able to take part in the Cherry Blossom Crystals event, which will trigger randomly and spawn trees in the Cherry Blossom zone you can smash with your bat to farm Cherry Blossom Crystals. You can then take these crystals to the Incubator, slot them alongside an Egg of your choice and mutate it, either adding the Bloom or very rare Spirit Bloom Mutations to the critter inside.
And that’s all you need to know about Cranes and activating the Sakura Incubator. Want more help with Steal An Egg? Check out our full list of every Pet in Steal An Egg, or our guide on unlocking the Eternal Lunar Dragon. If neither appeal though, you can find our full list of Roblox guides here.
