Brody also admitted that he has one regret in his proposal to Meester.
While many married couples get pretty comfortable with each other over the years, Adam Brody confessed there’s one thing that he and wife Leighton Meester don’t do.
Brody confessed that he and the Gossip Girl alum do not fart in front of each other, despite tying the knot over a decade ago.
“I have other bad habits, but farting’s never been a big issue for me,” he said on Armchair Expert on Tuesday, appearing alongside his Nobody Wants This castmates Kristen Bell, Justine Lupe, and Timothy Simons. “Not to brag.”
While he may not pass gas around his spouse, his costars shared the little quirks they share with their own life partners. In fact, Bell, who is married to Armchair Expert host Dax Shepard, said that he makes “every type of noise you could imagine” in front of her.
“The fact that she has stayed with me through this is really incredible,” Shepard acknowledged.
Meanwhile, Shepard and Bell admitted to farting in front of each other “for sure,” so they were surprised that Brody doesn’t do it with Meester. Lupe, who is married to artist Tyson Mason, said that she does toot in front of her husband, but that it only started happening after they had kids.
“It’s been an evolution,” she quipped.

On the same podcast, Brody confessed that his proposal to Meester was a bit lackluster. While the pair has been married since 2014 and shares two children, Brody said the engagement “was not as romantic as it should have been.”
“The only thing romantic about it was the speed,” he said. “Meaning, like, I proposed pretty quickly into our relationship. We got married fast, but other than that, it was very pedestrian.”
While he didn’t share details about what he did to pop the question, Brody had advice for people who are ready to propose to their partners.
“I’ve learned, the thing is, at the time, you’re like, ‘Whatever,’ but you’re going to tell this story for the rest of your life,” he said. “So, my advice: Do it not even just for the moment, but for the story that you’re gonna tell forever.”
