Nine seasons. One iconic college football town.
Today, Dr Pepper officially kicks off Season 9 of Fansville, the longest-running advertising campaign in college football history. What began as a humorous look at the passion and quirks of college football fandom has evolved into an enduring platform that continues to grow alongside the sport itself.

As college football returns, so do the residents of Fansville, bringing with them the rivalries, rumors, heartbreak, hope and unwavering devotion that make college football unlike any other sport. This year’s theme, “Fandom Never Sleeps,” celebrates a simple truth: for real college football fans, the obsession doesn’t start and stop on Saturdays. It lives in group chats, social feeds, daily routines, rankings debates and countdowns to kickoff all week long. Throughout the season, Fansville follows fans on the full emotional rollercoaster of college football, from the optimism of preseason predictions and the anxiety of midseason matchups to the exhilaration of a playoff run, proving that fandom never takes a day off.

“College football isn’t just a game people watch on Saturdays, it’s a passion they live every day of the week,” said Drew Panayiotou, Chief Marketing & Innovation Officer at Keurig Dr Pepper. “That’s the insight behind this year’s theme, ‘Fandom Never Sleeps,’ and it’s why Fansville continues to resonate season after season. We love celebrating the traditions, personalities and fan behaviors that make college football culture so distinctive.”
Taking on College Football’s Biggest Storylines
Season 9 follows Fansville residents as they navigate a college football landscape defined by coaching rumors, transfer portal chaos, conference realignment, sponsorships, controversial calls and all the other topics dominating fan conversations this season.
Helping drive the action is a special appearance from LSU Head Coach Lane Kiffin, one of college football’s most recognizable personalities. Kiffin joins the Fansville universe in a season-long storyline inspired by one of the sport’s most familiar realities: the heartbreak fans feel when a beloved coach leaves for greener pastures.
Fans can get their first look at the new season in a :60 launch trailer premiering today, which teases everything from coaching drama and transfer portal intrigue to rivalries and controversial calls. The trailer also includes Kiffin’s first appearance in Fansville before he returns to Oxford, helping Coach chart a course toward State’s biggest rival, Tech.
For nearly a decade, Fansville has reflected the culture surrounding college football, growing alongside the sport while remaining rooted in the experiences fans know best. Through relatable fan truths, recurring characters and timely storylines, the platform continues to demonstrate why no brand understands college football fandom quite like Dr Pepper.

Season 9 will unfold throughout the college football season with new episodes tied to key moments in the sport, airing across television, digital, social, radio and out-of-home channels. Fansville will also come to life beyond the screen through merchandise drops, creator partnerships, fan activations and iconic experiences like the Dr Pepper Tuition Toss.
Nine seasons later, Fansville remains as passionate, unpredictable and entertaining as college football itself.
Because while games may only be played on Saturdays, true fans know the season never really stops.
And neither does fandom.
