ARC has opened registrations for the waitlist of its first handheld gaming device in India. The company said users who sign up will receive early access to product updates, launch announcements, community initiatives and priority purchase opportunities before the device is officially launched
The announcement comes weeks after ARC introduced itself as an Indian gaming hardware company focused on building a handheld gaming ecosystem. While the company has not revealed the device’s specifications, launch date or pricing, it said the handheld is being designed with Indian gamers in mind
According to ARC, the waitlist is intended to build an early community around the product and allow interested users to participate in the development journey before commercial availability
Commenting on the announcement, Jobin Joseph, Co-founder of ARC, said the waitlist marks an important milestone as the company moves closer to launch. He added that the response received since the brand’s debut indicates demand for a handheld gaming device designed for Indian users, and that early registrants will have an opportunity to contribute feedback as the product evolves
ARC also said it is building more than a handheld gaming device. The company plans to offer an ecosystem comprising dedicated gaming hardware, a proprietary operating system, software services and a community platform. It said feedback from early adopters, creators and developers will be used to refine the overall experience before the product reaches the market
Kaustubh K. Jadhav, Co-founder of ARC, said the company aims to build the platform with input from its community. He added that users joining the waitlist will become some of the company’s earliest supporters and help shape the ecosystem through their feedback
ARC believes there is an opportunity for handheld gaming devices in India as mobile gaming continues to grow, while premium handheld consoles remain relatively expensive and have limited availability in the country. The company said its products are being developed to address the requirements of Indian gamers
Registrations for the waitlist are now open through the company’s official website, playarc.gg. Users who join the waitlist will receive product updates, launch announcements, exclusive community initiatives and priority access to purchase the handheld gaming device when it becomes available
The company has not announced a launch timeline, pricing or hardware specifications for the handheld gaming device yet
