The “Love Island USA” Season 8 reunion is just days away.
Peacock is giving eager fans a quick glimpse ofwhat happened at the event, which was filmed in Universal City, California, earlier this month. In an interview with USA TODAY, host Ariana Madix said that fans should expect some big moments.
“I think there’s some explosive stuff when it comes to unseen footage and some questions that people had or misconceptions that people had that were cleared up once and for all,” Madix teased.
“I think overall, the reunion had a lot of everything,” she continued. “There were times where we were all laughing. There were times where it was really serious. There were times when there were some tears. There were some times when people were hugging. And I think it’s a really good conclusion to the season because I feel like we are getting a lot of answers to some questions I think we all had.”
When does the ‘Love Island USA’ reunion premiere?
Hosted by Madix and Andy Cohen, the special premieres on Monday, Aug. 31 at 6 p.m. PT/9 p.m. ET on Peacock. It was filmed in front of a live studio audience.
Watch ‘Love Island USA’ reunion sneak peek
It wouldn’t be a “Love Island USA” Season 8 reunion if contestant Kenzie didn’t hit a split.
In the sneak peek, the islanders address the major drama that happened in the Fijian villa over the summer, and things seem to be heating up. At one point, KC Chandler says that the group was “accepting” of his girlfriend Tierra “Titi” Davis but not him.
KC appears to be referencing the fallout from the show’s staple twist, Casa Amor, which amplified the friction between him and his initial connection, Aniya Harvey.
In another clip, bombshell Sol Dean, who was once paired with Sincere Rhea, seemingly calls someone an “antagonist,” adding, “It’s not about you right now. It’s about me and my experience.” Rhea made it to the finale and landed in third place with his partner, Melanie Moreno.
Will there be another season of ‘Love Island USA’?
Yes. Peacock has confirmed that “Love Island USA” has been renewed for a ninth season. Madix will return as the host.
